The Board Committees are:
Curriculum – This Committee is composed of 8-10 Board members and Member volunteers. The Committee is responsible for developing the classes for each of the semesters.
Governance – This Committee is composed or 2-3 Board Members whose primary responsibilities are to insure that the organization meets its obligations as established in its By-Laws as well as statutory and fiscal responsibilities as a 501(c)(3) corporation.
Marketing Committee – This Committee is composed of 2-3 Board members and Member volunteers whose responsibilities are to develop marketing strategies and plans to reach the senior citizen demographics in south-central Nebraska as well as inform the communities about the opportunities available through Senior College.
Membership Committee – This Committee is responsible for providing support services to classes and events. Members meet the first sessions of all classes to represent Senior College and assist with the enrollment process. Members also contact class registrants prior to the first class meetings to make sure that the registrants know when and where their class (es) meet. This Committee is composed of 5-7 Board members and Member volunteers.
Newsletter Committee – Senior College publishes several Newsletters a year. This small (1-3 members) committee is responsible for collecting information about Senior College and producing the Newsletter and well as the printed class schedules.
Special Events Committee – This committee is, as the title suggests, responsible for Senior College events outside of the normal class /semester schedules. The membership is flexible and includes Board Members and Members.
