Volunteer Opportunities

As a member of Senior College, you have the opportunity to participate in a variety of support committees.

Curriculum
This committee selects courses for each semester; secures instructors, facilities, and other resources; plans, organizes, and prepares class descriptions for printing. This committee meets monthly.

Newsletter/Marketing 
This committee prepares the Senior College newsletter that is circulated to the membership four times each year; prepares updated materials for the website and Facebook page; prepares advertising, promotions, and emails; and assists with distribution of class schedules.

Membership
Committee members are responsible for contacting participants prior to the first class meeting to verify class registrations, attending the first class meetings, writing thank yous to instructors, and facilitating the Ambassador Program. Ambassadors serve as liaison/contact people between instructor, facility, students, and the Board. They attend all class sessions, assist the instructor as needed, greet students as they arrive, and distribute Senior College materials. They also keep class participants informed of current and future Senior College activities and opportunities. 

Special Events 
This committee coordinates all special events throughout the year – Summer and Winter Socials, Fall and Spring Class Kickoffs, and various excursions. They coordinate refreshments, procure a facility, select entertainment, and arrange transportation as needed.
