Monday Morning Lectures

Spend your Monday Mornings exercising your mind. All Monday Morning Lectures (MML) will be on Monday except the first MML which will be on Thursday, September 24 at 3:00 pm. If NBC can have Monday Night Football on Thursday nights, Senior College can do a MML on a Thursday!

Starting September 28th and continuing every Monday morning (except October 12th ) through November 2nd we will present a special lecture via Zoom on a unique topic of interest. Pre-registration through the Senior College website is required. The Lectures are open to Senior College members and their guests.

There will be no lecture on October 12th

Lecture Schedule will include:

  • The Villasur Expedition with Dr. Chris Steinke (this presentation is shared with the Museum of Nebraska Art
  • A Conversation on with Jon on Film and Television with Jon Bokenkamp
  • Nebraska: Is it for everyone? Stories of immigration to the Central Plains with Michelle Warren
  • Fort Kearny: So Many Questions, Lots of Answers with Superintendent Gene Hunt
  • Behind the Light Switch with Gary Thompson
  •  The Story of the Pawnee Corn with Ronnie O'Brien

LOCATION: via Zoom
COST: Choice of paying $30 for entire series or paying as you go at $5 for each lecture 
If you are paying as you go for each lecture, your registration must be completed by 12:00 noon on the day before the lecture. By 6:00 pm on the day before the lecture, all registrants will receive an email with the URL and Password for that lecture. With that information you will be able to join the lecture 15 minutes prior to the starting time. You will receive a different URL and Password for each lecture in the series.
