Media Literacy Strategies: Finding the Facts in a Noisy World

Curious about how to tell what’s true online—and what’s not? This friendly, hands-on class will help you feel more confident navigating today’s digital world. Together, we’ll explore how information spreads, how to recognize misleading or false content, and how to search smarter. You’ll learn simple strategies to avoid scams, understand who’s behind the information you see, and even take a closer look at how algorithms and artificial intelligence shape what appears in your news feed. No technical experience needed—just bring your curiosity! Participants are welcome to bring their own device to class.
